Fried Rainbow Trout
Rainbow trout after rinsing under cold water.
Trout ready for dredging. I use corn meal with quite a bit of black pepper. First, put trout in a mixture of buttermilk and a little water mixed. Then I shake the trout fillets and corn meal mixture in a zip lock bag. After shaking in corn meal mixture, place in freezer to chill slightly. This will make the corn meal mixture stick to the fish better during the frying process.
Chilled and ready to be fried.
Lightly salted and ready to serve “Rainbow Trout”!
